The main objective of this research was to identify resilience factors in inhabitants of areas that have faced a catastrophe situation, with the purpose of contributing, respecting the uniqueness of each community, to strengthening those competencies that allow building a "resilient culture" in order to face situations of disasters and emergencies resulting from climate changes The Methodologically, was quantitative and qualitative approach. The population was constituted by the people who were exposed to damages by climatological disasters during January and February of the 2017, conforming a sample with affected people who consented to participate in the localities of Tilcara (N = 13) and Volcán (N = 11) and La Mendieta (N=16). The Argentine version of the Resilience Scale (ER) of Wagnild and Young (1993) was applied, a structured interview with sociodemographic variables and indepth interviews. Discussion groups were formed (N = 6) in each locality under the modality of Workshop.

The results of the study allow us to think that the populations, of the localities with which we worked, have competences to deal with situations of disasters, without this being a high risk for their mental health.
