This paper develops the evolution of an area of Coronel Arias's neighbourhood, Barrio Coca-Cola, located in San Salvador de Jujuy. First, we talk about its origins in the early 1970s (it was the first neighbourhood in the sector), and then, we describe its present as part of the "great Coronel Arias," composed of successive and numerous extensions. Urban expansion has been constant towards the southern area of the city, but each sector of the neighbourhood has had a different evolution, depending on the period in which it was built, the situation, the type of operation that gave rise to it, the organisation and participation of the neighbours and the State. The analysis of the situations that the neighbors had to face and resolve after taking possession of the homes represents a sample of the aspects that should be resolved in advance and comprehensively together with the provision of homes. Due to its complexity and scale, it is up to the State, through its technical staff, to regulate and intervene in the resolution of aspects such as connectivity, public transportation, provision of services and equipment, among others, with the ultimate goal of providing quality of life to the inhabitants of the city. city, contributing with their status as citizens.Currently, the sector has connectivity, infrastructure and services, but this situation should not be taken as an acceptable path to follow, given that it cannot always be resolved positively, and there are numerous sectors of the city that began in a similar and despite the passage of years its inhabitants have not managed to improve their quality of life.
